About
Finance, quantitative method and boundless curiosity.
I’m Vittorio Iacovoni. I’m pursuing a dual degree in finance: an M.Sc. in Economics, Management & Governance at LIUC, majoring in Banking & Finance, and an M.S. in Financial Technology & Analytics at Stevens Institute of Technology, within the Quantitative Finance and Financial Engineering program.
I’m drawn to the point where finance meets technology. A quantitative model forces you to make your assumptions explicit: what you are estimating, with which data, and where the result stops holding. It’s the same discipline I saw at PwC, where every number has to be reconciled and documented before it can be relied on.
That’s why I build projects in Python: portfolio optimization, FX option pricing, Monte Carlo simulation and backtesting. I use them to understand methods from the inside and to learn where they break, not to chase a number.
What drives me is boundless curiosity, and I try to put it to work outside the classroom. I co-founded the Starting Finance Club LIUC, which grew to 90+ students. I serve as a graduate student representative. In April 2026 I spoke at the Festival della Finanza per l’Economia Reale on Italian public markets and private banking, alongside professionals from JPMorgan, Equita SIM and Assolombarda.
The areas I follow most closely are AI applied to private banking, quantitative models, asset management and risk management.
